News
Welcome back! Well, the summer holidays flew by and here we are at the start of a new and exciting term in Lower Key Stage 2. It was lovely to see the children coming in to school so full of enthusiasm and energy on Thursday morning and they have already made a good start to the year. We have all been busy labelling books, compiling class rules and writing 'thank you' letters to people who helped make our holidays so special. Each class has also begun researching the life of Roald Dahl in readiness for our literacy focus in the coming weeks. In our table groups we used the iPads for our research and produced colourful posters all about him.
Y4 trip to Lea Valley Whitewater Centre
On Friday 18th September Mrs Prowle will be taking all of the Y4 children to the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships on the Olympic course at Lea Valley. During the day the children will have the opportunity to try canoeing, meet Etienne Stott (London 2012 gold medallist) and watch the slalom competition which also forms part of the selection process for next year's Rio games. It promises to be an action packed and exciting day so please get those permission slips back to school as soon as possible and, of course, any offers of help on the day would be greatly appreciated!
